Multinational companies expanding business globally need to ensure observance of domestic and international labor and employment Law.  Mariana has more than 10 years of experience working with international employment law and global mobility while assisting companies in developing compliant and effective global business plans to address offshore employment matters.

Mariana provides strategic advice and counseling to clients on all challenges related to the cross-border transference of workforce and the hiring and handling of employees overseas.  She assists companies in how to implement their expatriation processes, structure transferences of employees globally, prepare international assignment policies, draft international employment contracts and administer overseas tax and payroll matters.

Mariana has helped Fortune 500 companies to develop their compensation and international assignment fringe benefits packages while assuring that the foreign employment packages and agreements were competitive and compliant with labor and employment law, tax law, immigration law, social security law; both domestically and internationally.

Prior to joining Littler Mendelson, Mariana worked in the International Employment practice of “Big Four” accounting firms and served as a law clerk on the Brazilian Judicial Courts.
